
Dr. Mohamed Abdalla Almur
Dr. Mohamed Abdalla Almur is the former Director General of Human Rights of the Dubai Police, an Assistant Professor of Criminal Law at the Dubai Police Academy, and holds a PhD in pre-trial detention under UAE law.
Dr. Almur has made significant contributions to legal education, specialising in criminal justice, human rights, and combatting human trafficking.
Dr. Almur has played a central role in shaping legal frameworks and policies in the UAE, serving on high-level committees such as the National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking, the Judicial Committee for Preventing Deportation and Travel, and the Dubai Police Law Preparation Committee. His leadership extends to international forums, where he has represented the UAE in conferences and workshops addressing human rights, criminal investigations, and the fight against statelessness and trafficking.
His academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Criminal Law and a Master's in Public Law from Alexandria University, along with a Bachelor of Law from the Dubai Police Academy. Dr. Almur's career is distinguished by numerous honors, including the Loyal Service Medal and Distinguished Government Performance awards, reflecting his unwavering commitment to justice, legal excellence, and the safeguarding of human rights.
